Effective date: April 26, 2026
These terms govern your use of Rostara, a sports team management app for organizing pickup games, tracking ratings, balancing teams, and managing shared group expenses. By creating an account or joining a group, you agree to these terms.
Rostara is provided as a tool to help recreational sports groups coordinate. It is not a payment processor, banking service, or escrow service — the bookkeeping feature is a record-keeping ledger, not a money-movement system. Any actual money settlement between members happens outside Rostara.
While using Rostara, do not:
Ratings exist to help admins balance teams. They are subjective opinions of individual raters, not objective claims of fact. Don't use ratings to harass or single out a member. Admins can disable ratings entirely for their group.
Rostara is provided "as is" and "as available." We aim for reliability but cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect existing users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rostara disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that bookkeeping records, ratings, or other data are accurate, complete, or fit for any external use such as legal evidence or tax filings.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rostara and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Rostara will not exceed CAD $50 or the amount you have paid Rostara in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
You can stop using Rostara at any time by leaving your groups and/or requesting account deletion. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible.
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the app and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of Rostara after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
